Newsletter August 2011
Once again I am delighted to say that I have received many emails from "Old Fols" and fans of the show. It is lovely to hear from you and read about your memories.
You will see appearing some new articles. I have been meaning to get round to these sooner, but I have been adjuticating at Dance Festivals plus I have a new grandaughter, and therefore I have not been as attentive as I should have been to this web site.
There is a great deal of interest in the "Pelham Puppets", used in the finale of the show, and I am writing a new article about these. Peter Felgate and I thought it would also be interesting to do a piece on the "Younger Generation" - children of ex-Fols performers, many now working in the theatre and entertainments industry. Look for this article to appear shortly.
Anyone Out There?
Please keep the comments and memories coming. I would like to hear from anyone in the 1967 Eastbourne Company that I was also in. I am in touch with three of the dancers: Judy Fielder, Diana Osbourne and Christine Burns (all married now) and have also had email from Maryetta Midgley, but would love to hear from anyone else in that company.
Just in closing, Peter Felgate has found a branch of the Felgate clan out in the USA which he didn't know he had - or rather, his relative found him, via this web site!
I aim to please!
